Frequently Asked Questions

Where is the studio located?

Our address is 508 17 Avenue SW in Calgary, Alberta, Canada. The studio is in the Beltline neighborhood on the north side of 17th Avenue between 4th Street and 5th Street.

Where is the best place to park by the studio?

Although the studio does not have assigned parking, there is public parking all around the studio on the surrounding streets (along 15th Ave SW and along 18th Ave SW seems to be the best places to park based on client feedback, see graphic below).

Please pay special attention to the street signs for time-restricted, private parking, and paid zones. Getting a parking ticket will surely ruin your post-spin endorphin high :)

Green lines are metered parking zones (pay attention to the time restrictions!). Red lines are loading zones. Black lines are residential parking (usually with 2 or 3 hour time limits)

What kind of bikes do you have at the studio?

We use Stages SC2 bikes. More info about our bikes can be found on the Stages website.

What kind of pedals do you have on your bikes?

We use LOOK Keo pedals and cleats. Other brands like Shimano SPD, SPD-SL and LOOK Delta cleats are not compatible with our pedals.

We recommend you buy the grey colour in the Look branded cleats.

Black = stiff
Grey = medium
Red = loose

(Note: Other Look Keo compatible brands may use a different colour system).

What should I wear to class?

Wear whatever you feel comfortable working out in. Since a spin class can get pretty hot and sweaty, it is recommended that you wear moisture-wicking type materials for better ventilation of your skin and evaporation of the sweat.

We have socks for sale at the studio for $3 in case you forget to bring some with you.

Do you provide rental cycling shoes?

Yes, we provide rental spin shoes at no extra charge. If you have your own cycling shoes with LOOK Keo cleats, feel free to bring them use them on our bikes. You cannot wear normal running shoes with our pedals.

Do you provide water?

We have a filtered water station for you to fill your own water bottles. In the event you forget to bring your water bottle, we do have individual bottled water for purchase. If you really want to represent the Rhythm Ride vibe, we also have RR branded water bottles for sale.

Do you provide towels?

We do have small hand towels you can take into class with you. We also have full shower towels and other basic amenities available for you to use after class. This is all included with your drop-in free or monthly pass.

What is your Late Cancel / No-Show policy?

Please see the bottom of our Schedule page for more information. Our late cancel & no-show policy is also at the bottom of every confirmation booking email you received when you sign-up for a class.

Do you have a copy of your liability waiver I can download?

You can download our form here.

I want to work at Rhythm Ride! How can I apply?

Check out available job postings here. Tell us a little about yourself, your related work experience, why you’d like to work at Rhythm Ride, etc.

This is my first time, will I die?

No… no you will not :) Attend one of our Rookie Ride classes before jumping into a full Rhythm ride. Feel free to take the Rookie Ride as many times as you like until you feel more comfortable on the bike. Work at your own pace. Focus on getting your feet to ride to the rhythm and the rest will come with time and practice!
